Most people decide to learn to drive when having a car becomes essential to their lives. Getting to work, the school run, doing the shopping, visiting family and a host of other reasons.
So everyone needs to learn as quickly and efficiently as possible, get a driving licence and get on with their lives.
Many people are now realising that choosing to learn to drive an automatic car can achieve this without compromising on the essential standards of safety and skill.
With no need to spend endless hours struggling with the mysteries of gear changes, clutch control, biting points and hill starts and without the dreaded fear of stalling, the driver can fully concentrate on the road ahead.
All the complicated junctions and busy traffic on today’s roads demand a driver’s full attention, so the fewer controls they need to deal with inside the car the more time there is to concentrate on the road outside.
Driving is then far safer and much less stressful.
Modern automatic cars also have special settings too, which make them safer in bad driving conditions and more economical driving at higher speeds.
Of course, passing a driving test on an automatic will not licence you to drive a fully manual car, but semi automatic cars allow you to change gear manually if you wish.
Looking to the future cars are already being designed completely differently to be more fuel efficient, electric and dual fuelled. Who knows what will come next?
One thing is certain.
Learning in an automatic car is the safer, quicker route to today’s driving and the driving of the future.
Learning to drive is a big decision and there are lots of driving schools out there.
You want to learn to drive well and safely but in a reasonable time, without spending a small fortune.
After all, no one really wants to LEARN to drive, we all want to BE ABLE to drive!!
So you’ll need to consider many things when choosing a driving school;
prices, cars, times, areas to name a few, but the most important choice you have to make is your choice of instructor.
Their skill will be the major factor in how successful you are, how good a driver you become and how long it takes for you to succeed. You’ll need to get on well with them and trust their judgement and expertees.
So, how do you decide which instructor is right for you?
The most important things to look for are;
Experience, reputation, proven success, recommendation, qualifications and character.
At a large driving school you are usually allocated whichever instructor is available.
At Lindsay’s you will always be taught by Lindsay, whichever course you choose.
